I purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 for its easy interface and compatibility with Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0, the video editing software. Photoshop 4.0 has a great cataloguing system that allows for easy tracking and sorting of videos and photos. This feature is particularly flexible because it allows you to create your own ways of identifying and grouping photos and videos which are easily cross-referenced and retrievable. The Scrapper's Guide was an unexpected bonus because it's got a video tutorial which goes much further than a manual can alone in teaching techniques. The Scrapper's Guide teaches the basics that you need to know for any Photoshop project -- not just scrapbooking. It's more fun to watch a demonstration than it is just to read about it in my opinion. Minor drawback: Photoshop 4.0's customizing email function for sharing photos is not compatible with all email address books.
