The concept of Painter is great and it delivers on the idea, except it's not very stable. I've had this program installed on two different computers an XP machine and now a Vista machine. It crashes much more often than Photoshop does, infact I don't remember photoshop ever crashing. Whereas painter X with the update installed crashes every third time I use it. If I could figure out a pattern then I'd just save before I did any crash worthy actions, but I haven't been able to figure out the pattern... Having the crashes happen on both my installs makes me think this isn't just my unlucky problem...Get more detail about Corel Painter X [OLD VERSION].
