About 8 years ago I got a Wacom tablet and it came with a free disc of Corel's Painter Classic, which is a forerunner (and cheapie edition) of Painter X. I used it all the time and then when I upgraded my PC we couldn't find the Painter Classic install disc. For years I've tried limping along with products that just aren't quite what I was looking for - Microsoft Expression or Digital Image Pro or Corel Draw - and I finally bit the bullet and bought the Painter X product. (Luckily as a user of Corel Draw I was eligible for the Painter X upgrade instead of having to pay full price). There is a wondrous array of brushes and other media which make it quite easy to create fun and funky works of digital art.
One caveat; this probably won't float your boat if you are trying to use a mouse to do the artwork. It will still do what it's meant to do, but your control will be greater with a tablet.Get more detail about Painter X Upgrade [OLD VERSION].
